Jayne Moore: The Secret To Looking Good Is Feeling Good

Jayne Moore

Supermodel Jayne Moore’s day job is to look fabulous for her clients, advertisers who want to seduce us into buying their wonderful products. Whether she is posing for Bloomingdales, Macy’s, or Saks, Moore needs to look fresh, crisp, and together. Fortunately for us, she doesn’t leave all of the work to lighting designers, or hair and make-up technicians. For Jayne Moore, the secret to looking good is feeling good, and the secret to feeling good is to maintain a positive attitude, as well as a healthy diet. However, for all of the health and beauty secrets that many of us have already taken to our hearts, Moore offers tips that many people might find…unconventional.

For example, do you have an old avocado in your fridge, one that might be a bit smushy? Moore’s advice is to not throw it out, but to smash it up, pack it on the ends of your hair, twizzle it up, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Yep, that’s what she suggests. Moore admits that this will feel a bit weird, but she advises us to “suck it up, it’s worth it.”

She is also a very big advocate of antioxidants and the power of food, “but it doesn’t have to be all  bitter berries and pungent noni juice”, she say’s with a mischievous smile, “I am especially fond of those found in kale, dark chocolate, and full-bodied red wine…” She believes that fine foods in their raw state are fuel for our fire, there to charge every cell in our bodies and boost our immune systems and that we have a fully stocked medicine cabinet available to us in the food isles and fresh produce sections of the grocery store. But just for the record, Jayne wanted to remind us that “red wine and dark chocolate are both full of polyphenols including Proanthocyanidin, a powerful antioxidant. In fact, some red wines have more antioxidants than commercial grape juice, raw blueberries, and even miracle fruits like Açaí.”

Finally, she recommends something so simple it’s a wonder nobody has thought of it before; making time for one’s friends and family, laughing and just being a bit silly sometimes. There is nothing more rejuvenating than those people and things that give one that special “je ne sais quoi” sparkle. Jayne Moore makes it all seem so easy!

No Wasting Time For Jayne Moore

Everybody knows that the life of an international supermodel involves intrigue and ingenuity, much like a secret agent, but quite often people have no idea what supermodels do when not in front of the camera. We tend to take for granted that models, such as England-born Jayne Moore, are required to jump, leap, and balance in precarious heels, look cool while suspended from invisible wires, and know how to work their hair and angles sufficiently for action shots, but what happens when the lights go off? Is it all glamour and champagne 24 hours a day? Not for Jayne Moore, it isn’t.

Jayne actually studied Psychology and Accounting at college before falling into a modeling career, as each academic subject satisfied her needs to express the abstract and the concrete. Her psychology courses helped with her considerations of human behavior, unlocking the mysteries of, as Jayne so aptly puts it, “how circumstance and environment can not only shape and affect the people we become, but also have us act in the now, in ways we think we never could or would.”

Jayne Moore

To balance the cerebral speculation of her Psychology courses, Jayne sought a route of practicality, strategy, and formula through Accounting courses. She aspired to become a Chartered Accountant, and eventually an Auditor, but when an opportunity for modeling arrived, her contacts at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG supported her decision to defer her entry for a year. “The rest is now,” as she says, “history.”

Jayne Moore

And what a history it is. When not bringing products to life for American Beauty, Calvin Klein, John Frieda, or a host of others, Jayne Moore can be found designing jewelry, silversmithing, or lost wax carving. Although she received a diploma for Interior Design from the UK’s National Design Academy in 2006, she feels especially close to her lost wax carving skills and techniques, enough so to consider jewelry design and fabrication as a small side business when she gets the free time. For Jayne Moore, there is always too little time and so much to do when the camera is off.

Jayne Moore Blends Fantasy and Reality

Jayne Moore

British born model, Jayne Moore, has been on the modeling scene for over a decade, rocking through every year with her tall, stunningly fit physique and fiercely seductive blue eyes. Since Jayne Moore was young, she has fantasized about traveling around the world to places like Bora Bora and the Maldives. She was so obsessed with travel that she would collect travel brochures from the travel agencies and look at them over and over to delight in the white sandy beaches and turquoise water. She always dreamed of being able to visit places like these, and now, as a top fashion model, her dreams have turned into reality.

Jayne is still waiting to shoot for a spa experience in the Maldives, but she is not complaining because her modeling career has given her the unique opportunity to truly explore nearly every corner of the world.

For Jayne Moore, looking back at her modeling career is like looking back through snapshots she has taken in her mind. She admits to have been lucky enough to have cool experiences with outrageously creative people. One of her favorite memories as a model is when she shot in Grand Central Station at midnight with Annie Leibovitz. Another dream come true for Jayne is when she works with Pamela Hanson, British photographer and filmmaker. Pamela, Jayne says, let’s you “play” in whatever role you are taking on for the shoot. She let’s your own imagine and creativity come through, and always manages to capture the essence of the moment.

Jayne recalls a time when she was shooting swimwear all day from 7am to 6pm in a remote location in Chile. The location was terribly cold, as were the huts they slept in. But the crew, as often happens, Jayne says, develops a unity as they discover and go through things together. Jayne’s favorite part of the day happened in the evening when the hosts built a huge fire and everyone huddled around it to keep warm, cook food, drink wine, and reflect on the day’s events.

Jayne Moore – Top Fashion Models In The Industry

When Jayne Moore started as a model, she had no idea that one day she’d become one of the top fashion models in the industry. Starting out as a mousey-haired shy hair student at a salon in Britain, Jayne’s manager at the time gave her a ravishing haircut, and entered her and his salon into the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Competition, which led to Jayne getting scouted at the regional competition.

Jayne Moore has shot editorials and campaigns for numerous luxury brands including Marie Claire, Glamour, Votre Beaute, American Beauty, Calvin Klein, Asos, Bloomingdales, American Beauty, John Frieda, Garnier, and numerous others. She is a well-known name in the modeling industry, as well as a multi-faceted woman with many creative pursuits of her own.

When it comes to being inspired, Jayne Moore has always been an adoring fan of Kate Moss, whose career, she says, evolved around her own unique style and attitude. Being British helps, of course, as Jayne herself hails from Hampshire, England. Models that operate with a strong sense of feminine power and a unique strength of character inspire Jayne. The models that can retain their sense of individuality and not get swayed or lose their integrity among all the glitz and glamour are the models from which she draws the most inspiration.

Modeling after having a baby truly inspires Jayne. These models bounce back stronger than ever before and work hard to keep their bodies toned and refined modeling machines. Women such as Doutzen Kroes, Dutch model, actress and Victoria’ Secret angel, Gisele Bundchen, Brazilian model and Victoria’s Secret angel who pioneered the “horse walk,” and Lily Aldridge, model and actress who supports a number of humanitarian and environmental causes. All of these women inspire Jayne through their fierce loyalty to the profession, and for single-handedly expanding the longevity of the career by working post-baby.

Jayne Moore is also very outspoken about her anti-fur viewpoint. Her manager and the brands she has worked for all support her opinion and never ask her to wear fur during a shoot. She is also inspired by Anne Vyalitsyna, Russian-American model and actress who actively shares Jayne’s anti-fur views.

Jayne Moore – A Charming Blend of Talent and Silliness

Jayne Moore is a British born model living in New York City, her self-denoted “Happy Place.” She was “discovered” as a teen by Select Model Management and after much rumination by Jayne, she found herself fully immersed in the world of modeling.

Jayne Moore

Jayne describes herself as being “a bit silly,” which helps keep her grounded in the crazy, whirlwind modeling industry. Beyond her modeling she is creative, industrious and curious about the world, and it is reflected in her many creative pursuits such as jewelry making, writing and interior design.

Jayne Moore

Her interests lie also in learning about human habits, emotions and behaviors. She enjoys musing over some age-old psychological issues like the ‘nature versus nurture’ debate and the ‘mind’s awareness of itself’ concept. Jayne Moore studied both psychology and accountancy in college because even though her brain is full of wonder and questions, she believed that if all else failed, she could fall back on her accountancy degree and work for a company like Price Waterhouse Coopers or KPMG. Luckily, for her fans and for the rest of the world, Jayne fit perfectly into the world of modeling.

Jayne Moore

Jayne’s talent shines through especially on shoots when she is asked to model on difficult or crazy terrain. Since Jayne adores “play” and being left to her own creative devices, and being able to express herself via her own animation and movement, these shoots are among her favorite. Some of the crazy shoots Jayne holds fondly in her memory include shooting at Grand Central Station at midnight with Annie Leibovitz, and anytime at all that she works with Pamela Hanson.

Jayne Moore

Throughout Jayne Moore’s modeling career she has had her knickers wired to trapeze wires so she could be flipped and spinned, she’s had birds land in her hair, she has ridden a jet ski in high heels, and has driven many beautiful classic cars. No matter what the situation, Jayne always works the shoot flawlessly because she knows her body from every angle, and she is a master at channeling the attitude an outfit creates.

Jayne Moore

Talent blended seamlessly with her own brand of silliness has worked very well for Jayne Moore. She has worked for some of the top luxury brands in the world for hair, lingerie, TV and print campaigns. Some of these brands include Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Calvin Klein, and Mark’s and Spencer’s, just to name a few.

Jayne Moore – Maintaining Beauty through Quality of Life

Model Jayne Moore has experience with TV and print work for brands such as John Frieda, Garnier, Marie Claire, Glamour and Votre Beaute. She has done advertising work for Avon and American Beauty, lingerie and swim wear for Saks, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Calvin Klein, Asos, Gottex and Marks and Spencers. Jayne Moore knows modeling. She knows her body and how to angle it perfectly to get the perfect shot. For Jayne, modeling is about being spontaneous and courageous, because you never know when you’ll have to shoot on a trapeze, trampoline, in sub zero weather, or in the depths of a jungle. Modeling is not just about getting your picture taken; it’s about being photogenic, exuding beauty, and maintaining that same aura day after day.

Jayne Moore

So how does Jayne do it? How does she keep her skin clear, her hair ever-bouncy, and her eyes ever-bright? Her suggestions include never going to bed without cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Water, water, water, it’s an essential element, especially to our bodies. Drink water whenever you think of it, for a simple no-calorie hot drink; just put a slice of lime or lemon, or chunk of mango in a steaming mug of water.

Jayne Moore

Jayne Moore believes that food is sexy. It’s how we stay alive, it’s how we stay youthful and vibrant and motivated. As the saying goes, you definitely are what you eat. While Jayne Moore thrives off a healthy dose of leafy greens daily, kales, chards and spinach in salads and smoothies, it’s not all green, “ choose wisely” she says, know what’s in your food and make wise decisions. Some of her favorite foods include dark or even raw chocolate, which is filled with antioxidants, immunity boosters, fiber and energy (she’s not talking about M&M’s or a Snickers bar!), and red wine, again, packed with antioxidant and resveratrol! So it’s not all dull, but all things in moderation!

Jayne Moore

To keep her skin smooth and glowing, Jayne prefers Mario Badescu products. The products themselves stand alone as being fantastic, but on top of that, the company will custom design a skin care regime of your very own. Jayne’s long beautiful hair is plumped up with none other than… mushy avocados. Ten minutes on the ends, Jayne recommends, will help prevent splits.

Jayne Moore

Most of all, above everything else, Jayne Moore believes that the biggest impact on beauty is happiness. If someone is fulfilled and happy on the inside, there is just no denying it on their outside. Making time for family and friends and making time for your own goals is what will impact your quality of life, and your appearance, the most.
